Seymour Duncan® Phat Cat Set, SPH90-1N & 1b (Neck/Bridge)

Application:

Authentic P-90 sound in a humbucker retrofit size pickup. Recommended for country, jazz, blues, rockabilly, classic rock and heavy rock.

Description:

Originally developed in the Custom Shop of Hamer Guitars, a Phat Cat is an aetual single coil P-90 Soapbar that fits under a humbucker cover and drops into humbucker-equipped guitars. The tone is big and fat, er, phat. It uses two Alnico 2 magnets for more sustain and softer attack. Also, the metal covers provide more shielding and noise reduction than standard soapbar covers. Comes with single-conductor hookup cable.

Complete Setup:

Available for both neck and bridge positions in a balanced set. The neck pickup is RW/RP relative to the bridge for hum-free performance when both pickups are used together.

Guitars:

For use in any humbucker-equipped guitar. Works especially well in balanced instruments with rosewood, ebony or maple fingerboards.

Custom Shop 50's Style Wiring Harness for Gibson Les Paul

The Custom Shop Les Paul pre-wired upgrade harness features CTS Pots and Orange Drop .047µF caps. This is a very economical way to improve the tone of your LP and is a direct replacement for your USA Les Paul Standard, Traditional, Classic and other Les Paul guitars which use long shaft pots. Hear what you've been missing from your humbuckers!

Kit includes:

4 CTS 500K (+/- 10% tolerance) knurled long shaft audio taper potentiometers (2 volume, 2 tone). Top of the line CTS pots.
2 Orange Drop .047µF tone capacitors.
50's style wiring.

Please note: This kit is designed for Gibson Les Paul's that use long shaft pots. The bushing is 3/4" long. Please measure to make certain this is the right length for your guitar. CTS pots require a 3/8" hole (in the top of your guitar); most USA made guitars are drilled this way; however, imported guitars often are not so it may require the holes to be slightly enlarged.
